Students will draw and paint the figure. Demonstrations will be given and the selection and usage of materials will be discussed. There will be extended poses for several weeks, allowing the students to learn the basics, such as gesture, proportion, composition and anatomy. There will also be discussions on the selection and use of materials, including paint, brushes, canvas, and palette. Great for all levels.

This is a great introductory class as it will emphasize solid technical skill development, an introduction to understanding color, line, form, and space, as well as developing personal style. Still life and the figure will be explored as subject matter. While geared for the beginner, this course is a great way to fine tune and improve your drawing and painting skills, whatever your skill level.
